Futuro Academy Charter School

Project Description

Sparkflight Studios took an existing shopping center and turned it into an engaging K-5 public charter school, Futuro Academy, for our valued long-term client, CSDC. Our teams’ goal is to support Futuro Academy’s slow-growth model (Commercial Architecture) to deliver excellence to its students with small group learning and a joyful environment by providing a space that meets their needs. Over the last 5 years the work has consisted of 48,506 SF of site and tenant improvements, an entitlement package, extensive program development, and analysis of the existing building for seismic retrofitting. Currently, the project is completing the final of 4 phases. And we wouldn’t be Sparkflight Studios if we didn’t take an inventory of the existing equipment and materials to re-use for savings and sustainability.
